Filt 1860
Founded in 1860 by a cooperative of Norman farmers in the south of Caen (France), Filt 1860 is a company with a rich history of craftsmanship and resilience. The company faced a few challenges over the years, including the destruction of its factory during the bombing of Caen in 1944. Despite this setback, Filt 1860 rose from the ashes, rebuilding and continuing to produce high-quality products.
Today, Filt 1860 proudly carries the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (EPV) label, a prestigious honor awarded by the French Ministry of Industry, recognizing exceptional French craftsmanship. As a proud EPV Norman company, Filt 1860 continues to honor its legacy while embracing modern innovation, offering products that reflect both history and craftsmanship at their finest.
