Marius Fabre
Since 1900, and four generations later, the Fabre family has kept traditional know-how alive by crafting Marseille soap and black soap with olive oil. Using centuries-old techniques, the soap is cooked in cauldrons for about 10 days before being left to dry in the Mistral wind. It is then cut into various sizes and stamped by hand. Today, the workers at the Marius Fabre soap factory continue to make soap according to the methods established by Louis XIV, the Sun King.
